SDGs
In 2003, Debbi Brock as the founding director of the Entrepreneurship for the Public Good (EPG) program at Berea College started collecting resources on this emerging field. The Social Entrepreneurship Teaching Resources was first compiled in 2003 and subsequent revisions were published in partnership with Ashoka titled the Social Entrepreneurship Education Resource Handbook in 2008 and 2011 and the dropbox of Teaching Resources. The godfather of social entrepreneurship education Dr. Greg Dees graciously shared his syllabus ideas, readings and review questions with us to integrate into the course modules. There is not a single person who has met or read an article by Greg Dees that was not inspired by his work, we miss him dearly.
This website creates an interactive interface for faculty to share resources and best practices and was funded by the Reeves Foundation Summer Research Grant at Wingate University and supported by the Sullivan Foundation.. The site was co-created in partnership with social innovation educators and programme directors around the world and has influenced generations of social change innovators.
In 2022, Catalyst 2030 partnered with SCI to expand the reach to social entrepreneurs and innovators, funders, businesses, the government sector and communities around the world to expand the knowledge base and share resources across the world.
