Social entrepreneurs drive social innovation and transformation in various fields including education, health, environment and enterprise development. These innovators pursue poverty alleviation goals with entrepreneurial zeal, unique business models and have the courage to innovate and overcome traditional practices. A social entrepreneur, similar to a business entrepreneur, builds sustainable organizations, which can be for-profit, nongovernmental organizations, or hybrid organizations. This module provides an introduction to social entrepreneurship.
Our goal is to create synergy between faculty teaching and researching in the field of social entrepreneurship to build long term impact. Our values include empowering others, respect and integrity for those we serve, and encouraging collaboration with partner faculty and institutions.
